What this page will cover
- [ ] When to use Station Memory: missing radio punches, suspected control malfunction, post-event verification
- [ ] What you need: a SportIdent master station, the coupling rod, the field control unit
- [ ] Connecting the master station to Manager (requires Chrome or Edge — Web Serial)
- [ ] Coupling a target station and reading station info (record count, extended/legacy protocol)
- [ ] Reading the backup — what the progress bar shows
- [ ] Reviewing the recovered punches before importing them
- [ ] How applying records changes competitor status — Start/Check promote a not-yet-started competitor to On Course; Finish marks an On-Course competitor DNF (and so clears them from the On Course count). See Safety check
- [ ] What happens to recovered punches that duplicate radio punches already in Manager
- [ ] Clearing the station's memory (when you'd do this, when you wouldn't)
- [ ] Recovering from "master station left in an unknown mode" — disconnect/reconnect
